J.J. Perkiomaki, DMD, PC
At age 11, J.J. (Jukka) Perkiomaki left Finland to move with his family to Astoria, Oregon. Quickly adapting to his new home, he stored his cross country skis, put away his soccer ball for later use, bought a bicycle, and learned English. Jukka did his undergraduate work at Oregon State University and Western Oregon University and attended the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center , where he was graduated from the school of dentistry in 1977 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine, DMD, degree.
Today, Dr. Perkiomaki is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) , local and state dental societies, the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) , and the Academy of R.V. Tucker Gold Study Club (RVTSC) .
Since Dr. Perkiomaki's semi retirement in January 2020 he continues to be involved in the practice on a more limited bases.
When he's not busy promoting healthy smiles, Jukka devotes his energy to an area of primary importance to him, his family. He shares his time with his wife Judy, daughter Kaija and son Adam and daughter-in law Isabella. He also maintains an active exercise schedule, including downhill skiing, tennis, squash and golf.
